Busy Week/Month

Okay so this is what we've been up to for the past three weeks. We watched cousin Liam last week so Patrick and his brother could have a man date buying groceries.

Then we went to great grandpa Bennett.

It was great grandma Bennett's birthday and Patrick's. They were born on the same day.

Then we went to Shakespeare in the park. It was a lot of fun.

Dan and Mel went with us. Nice faces guys.

Awesome!!!

Day of swimming and baking

Finn had a swim lesson/pool physical therapy yesterday. Here he is after we were done. He was all suited up in lighting mcqueen swim shirt and trunks (thanks mema and pawpaw). Finn loved the water. He was a swimming fool. Although he did try to drink the chlorinated water on many occassions. His favorite was a tie between the noodle and naming the depth numbers on the side of the pool (2 & 3).

Then I came home and got adventurous with cooking. My friend Missy-who is by the way a Great cook-led a short session on baking bread Wednesday. So I thought I'd try it out. She made it look so easy and delicious. Plus patrick's 29th (35th) birthday is saturday so I thought it would be nice to bake some goodies. So below are sone homemade oatmeal cookies that have chocolate chips, walnuts, and crazins and raisins. Yum!!!

They turned out delicious!!!!!

Then I made some bread from scratch. Totally ambitious, since I've never done thus before. But Missy made it look manageable and yummy.

Here's the dough mixed up in to a shaggy ball.

Then after I kneeded it a little.

Right before baking.

Fresh, hot out of the oven. And let me tell you it tasted great and was probably even better bc I made it myself and knew what live went into making it. Patrick came home and had a warm slice with butter and just smiled. It made me feel so good that I accomplished something domestic that I thought I'd never do-make bread from scratch. I plan to make another loaf tomorrow for Shakespeare in the park!

And I had to throw in a pic of Ainsley-eating blueberries-her favorite. Look at those red eyebrows.
