DC day one

We went for a nice 45 min run as soon as we got to the hotel. There is this great Sligo creek trail that's super close.

The we took the metro down to the art museum where George Lucas and Steven Spielberg had their private collections of Norman Rockwell paintings. We saw a segment on it on Sunday Morning a while back and we were super impressed. It was really neat.

Then we went to Ford's theater, where Lincoln was shot. It was really neat.
The president's box.

Patrick enjoying himself.

Me very excited-Patrick and I have a slight obsession with Lincoln history (slight being an understatement).

Then we walked to the mall-smithsonian mall. And went through the museum of natural history and the smithsonian institute. And walked by congress.

Then we went to the holocaust museum which was very interesting but depressing at the same time. It was a special exhibit about hitler and the Nazi propaganda-I knew hitler was messed up but wow, I now know how much more twisted he was than before.

Then we had the reversal dinner which was super fun. We hung out with everyone until late and then I thought I was going to go to bed, but Patrick and I just changed and went walking around. All the bars were closed so we just walked and then went to bed.
The discovery channel building was super close not sure if this is where that crazy guy was last week.

The kids were good for Bob and Lolly.

Her shirt says "ididapoo" like the iditerod.
