NEW PICS AND AN UPDATE

Finney loves learning how to use his sippy cup at mealtimes... and he likes putting food all over his face too....here you can only see a few flecks of peas (but by the end of the meal it was everywhere). Papa Bob bought Finn some "Elmo's" he's checking them out.....one blows kisses and the other plays music (which comes with an off button) just in case:) hehe. but he loves them!

Finn and I (katie) were watching tv and i looked down and noticed how much hair he has....wow....it's a bit messy because he was leaning back on me (and i made him sit up so i could take a picture)

Even closer (messier) but look how much there is!!!! I'm such a proud mama.

Here is Finn with his good friend Kennedy (she's a bunch of fun to play with because they laugh and pinch eachother) she's scowering at Finn's skills of shoving anything and everything in his mouth entirely. I love the determination on his face:)

so, sorry we haven't posted in a while. it's been a wild couple of weeks since christmas. we were in and out of the hospital right before christmas (which i might have posted about but don't remember) he had an extended EEG done and a sedated PET scan. both came back pretty normal, so no worries there. however, he has had a handful of new seizures since then which have had us worried. i don't want to say they are awful, but from a mother's standpoint, they are awful. they are just long (20-30 minuts) and lots of jerking/twitching going on. he's had some in his eyes which are scary too. but pretty much, we are still messing with his medication levels (with our dr's instructions) and trying to get to the right level....if there is one. it sounds like he's in the category where meds won't really work to control them so we are on a waiting list at chilren's hospital to get into the ketogenic diet clinic. it's a high fat and protein diet that has had pretty good success with children (all epliepsy types) so we are hopeful but not putting all our hope into it just in case it doesn't work. i just don't want to get my hopes up, but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to help Finn lead a normal and happy life....as much as we are able.
patrick and i could use any and all prayer that's offered.....we really appreciate those of you who are so vigilant in doing that for us. day to day things are good, we just sometimes have really bad days. and some days are better than you could even ask for! i still can't believe Finn is 10 months old already, going on 17years old.....at least that's how it seems. He's such a happy baby, laughing at everyone, and smiling at every kid we see when we are "out and about". He loves people.....and I believe he truly is just a happy soul.
He's really taken a liking to Elmo and the "elmo's world song" and he just started sitting himself up once he's done crawling around. and he loves to clap....i'll try to get some video of that and post it.
love you all... keep the prayers coming....katie
